Sheep Breeding Farm, Mahabubnagar was transferred to A.P. Agricultural University in the year 1993 and is known as Livestock Research Station, Mahabubnagar from there on.Consequent to the formation of P.V. Narsimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University(PVNRTVU), this Station was brought under the control of PVNRTVU.

The Station has 36.23 acres of land at present, with 14 acres under cultivation, 10acres under pasture lands and remaining under buildings and facilities of this station and AHPolytechnic, another institute of this University.
